Potential junkie...

The weekend here was half-half, half rainy and drizzly, and half gorgeous. On Sunday I asked Bruce if he could keep the kids so I could do some stuff on my own. He and the children had a fab day, made cookies and puttered in the garden pruning and mucking about.
I, on the other hand, went into town to meet a friend who, like me, likes to sew. Our destination, an open air Dutch fabric market that happens 2 times per year. Last spring we went, but only allowed ourselves an hour or two to shop, big mistake as there were probably 100 vendors with an dizzying and amazing array of fantastic textiles...talk about a kid in a candy shop...
So this year not only did I bring along my trolly (my friend was making fun of me...until her purchases out weighted her arms that is...) and a budget, but also a list of exactly what I needed, to try to weed out those impulse purchases. I managed to get everything on my list and, of course, then some, but spent much less than I had planned so was very happy.
I think I might have mentioned this before but I am potential junkie, the less formed it is and the more I can impact the final product the happier I am...does not work in all areas of life I can assure you , but it can be fun!! Sooo....I am dying to get down into the lair of the basement that is my new sewing room and get to work!

That market sounds great, even for a person without a single bit of sewing talent! I want to see pictures of your creations.

Sounds like fun! And guess what...sad news, Fabricland back here at home closed down! waahhh So stock up on lots of fabby fabrics while you are there in Germany.

And yes, what oreneta said...picutres. You are such a sewing goddess, I can't wait to see what you create.
