Blog=Life?? or is it Life=Blog??

Like any neophyte blogger, I am a little obsessed with my blog(s)…and as a frustrated designer it is a welcome outlet for my creative energy. Like any project I am working on I am thinking, seeing, and living blogging these days.

As I have also heard a fellow blogger complain, the people that I had originally began writing for have expressed almost no interest in my blog but instead it is read by others, and has taken on a life of its own. Of this I am glad, and for those of you who do read and comment …Thanks. I appreciate it.

But wait, I digress.

To my fellow bloggers; don’t you find that throughout the day you tend frame your thoughts in the context of your next blog entry?? Sort of like the image of the cheesy 70’s film director putting fingers together to form a “square” to frame a shot? Yeah… well that’s me but minus the fingers…mentally developing that by-line and with the same degree of cheese…

I have even started to keep a journal to write down my copious ideas as the idea;memory ratio is not so good. This works well when I can remember where the h*ck I’ve put the d*rn journal…

The conversation with myself goes something like this…(and the voice in my head is, I think, Rod Serling’s lesbian sister…well at least she the has the same melodramatic cadence and her voice is almost as deep…)

Little did I know that my survival on the life raft would depend on the very same airline hostess who would brush pass me so casually in the corridor…

OR

As she bit into the croissant she could see, through the drizzle, the same blond man playing guitar that had been in the market every day since they had arrived…

OR even

The Caravan broke loose from its tether and slowly began careening down the slope, picking up speed and taking out every vegetable vendor in its path…

See what I mean??

Oh honey, the inside ouf your head is an amazing place...

It is weird how you create to blog for friends and family, and then they never give feedback. I am not sure what voice to use, as the blog culture is different than what I might post otherwise.

Ha ha! My husband often looks at me and says "you're already blogging about this in your head aren't you?"

Actually, the only thing I think about all day is food.

And as for the blog, I'm with you. None of my family or friends, including my friends in SC, read my blog. I could declare them all gay farming goat-worshipers and they'd know nothing.

Crap. Did I just admit that my family is a bunch of gay goat-worshipers? Oops.

Hahaha

Yes yes...the framing blog posts in the head is a sure sign of blogitis.

And the melodramatic cheese factor is very 50's, very hip LOL

Yeah re the blog voice, it is funny how it just emerges, but it almost becomes something outside of yourself..(material for another post...)I LOVE what you are doing so far and really enjoy reading you every day...Like Trisha said to me so kindly a few months ago "Just keep trying and it will come"...
