Phew just let my breath out…

TBG met with the landlord yesterday morning and it seems as though he is amicable to making some of the changes we are interested in. (!!) The house is in a little quaint old village nestled in and amongst farmer’s fields, about 15 minutes drive from the city centre of Hannover and reasonably close to the children’s new School. It is not quite as big as we might like but has a lovely garden that is completely fenced and kid friendly with a small-not-deep-enough-to-drown-in pond and a greenhouse PLUS the owner says we can plant a veggie garden.

* oh bliss*

There is shopping and amenities within walking distance, not sure about an open air market but sure do hope so, a big forest full of trails and a big brand new fitness club about 1.5 kilometers from the house. The regional rail system runs a 6 minute walk from the house so yes we could stay a one car family…global-warming-and-after-all-Australia-will-be-banning-incandescent-light-bulbs-so-WE-do-like-to-do-our-part-too...

The house itself is a little bit bigger than 2000 square feet, not entirely remarkable and sadly not old and gorgeous…except that it has a lovely large garden room with a fireplace over looking a nice big terrace. Eat in kitchen with a great room, 4 bedrooms, 3 baths yadda yadda. The landlord however it seems is willing to redo all the floors in hardwood and paint from top to bottom sooo…it WILL be quite nice all polished up and once I’m done with it…and the price is right…

Well it just might be ok.

Let’s hope it all works out as it is still not a done deal… cause MAN this is tiring me out...

Suck that breath in once agai…

Sounds fabulous to me - both close to amenities and nature.
Hope it all works out - soon - for your sake. The uncertainty can be so stressful.

2,000 square feet?? I thought all the homes in Europe were 200-square-foot closets.

That said, it sounds fabulous.
